The Ducal Detective, Revisited

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a note on the writing front...

When I first wrote The Ducal Detective back in May 2017, I had no plans to write more stories about the Duchess. Once I published this little novella, the response I received for more adventures was astounding. Moved by how many people enjoyed my short story, I immediately set to work crafting a whole world that Jax and her friends could explore. The subsequent short stories A Feast Most Foul and A Voyage of Vengeance led to novels, which eventually turned into a brand-new series, Court of Mystery. As Jax’s world took shape and developed, I realized I needed to go back and revise The Ducal Detective, to make it feel like a truly authentic chapter of this fantasy saga.
