Make Note of the Next Court of Mystery Novel

Greetings, Noters!

I have something special planned for today’s posting. But before we get to a very special reveal, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has come out and supported the release of Too Much to Candle. It’s been a whirlwind month, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the love and enthusiasm readers have for the Glenmyre Whim Mysteries. The reviews you’ve shared have brought goofy, giddy smiles to my face, and it’s been so amazing to see pictures of Too Much to Candle copies in the hands of their new owners.

I just wrapped up a fabulous book blog tour, as well. Below, you can check out the fun interviews, behind-the-scenes guest posts, and AH-mazing reviews from the Too Much to Candle blog tour.

Beyond the tour, I also had some featured pieces released during the month that I’m really excited about. I wrote a piece for Kings River Life Magazine about the concept of “whims” and how they came to be the paranormal focus of the Glenmyre Whim Mysteries. Author Heidi Eliason, who you all met on Noteworthy a few months ago, interviewed me for her blog. I also had the pleasure of being interviewed by Shelley Burbank. Shelley came across my Canva-for-Authors tutorial videos and reached out to me after she read #FollowMe for Murder. We both grew up in Maine, and our conversation was quite interesting. You can check it out on her blog. And last, but certainly not least, Hazel Wickbury herself was in the spotlight over at Dru’s Book Musings, sharing what a day in the life of a candlemaker with paranormal powers looks like. A whirlwind month, indeed!

But there is no rest for the weary — in fact, I’m feeling more inspired than ever which is why I’m deep in the trenches of writing the next Court of Mystery novel. It’s been a while since I’ve hung out with Jax, Perry, and their friends, and this book has been particularly tricky. I have my suspicions about why. One is that I made the decision to conclude the Court of Mystery series at Book Ten. Where this is Book Nine, I definitely feel the walls closing in. Am I ready to say goodbye? No…and yes. The other reason this book has been tough is that the mystery is one of the most complex to date. And for me, that’s saying something LOL

So, I’m dedicating the remainder of 2022 to the Duchess and getting her next adventure out in the world. And since I’m tired of saying I’m working on “Book Nine” or “the next Court of Mystery novel,” today, I’m doing a title reveal! That’s right. Noters, you’re the first to know.

Without further ado…

You all know how much I love graphic design and digital media, so for today’s reveal, I’ve put together a special video — watch below!

There you have it! It gives me chills watching this. I can already hear the incomparable Melissa Green’s narration in my head as I work on this book. Her performances in the Court of Mystery audiobooks have truly taken this series to the next level for me, both as its author and as someone who truly enjoys these stories. Haven’t heard her incredible work? The Court of Mystery series is available on Audible, iTunes, and Amazon audio.
