The Next Court of Mystery Novel is Coming December 2018
Hello readers!
I am delighted to announce Burdened Bloodline, the second chapter in the Court of Mystery saga will be launched in December 2018.
I had originally planned to have my next Jax novel out in early 2019, but this story came along so effortlessly that my editor and I realized we could have this in readers’ hands by the end of the year.
This particular story arc has been simmering in the back of my mind for a while, which is likely why it was such a fluid process. I’ve never been able to write a 70,000 + word book in such a fashion; it was a really fun, and enjoyable process. Rarely did I have a day where words failed me. Instead, I ended up with way too much! I like to keep my Court of Mystery and Ducal Detective Mysteries books under 70,000 words because my original goal was for the series to be a short diversion or a quick read for people to enjoy. Now, the story has taken on a more complex element and readers are brought along on a journey of twists and turns. But it’s all good, because this is how Jax’s story is supposed to unfold.
With Burdened Bloodline all but done, I suddenly have two and a half months of 2018 that I wasn’t prepared to have to write something else. The new project I plan to tackle is a contemporary cozy mystery series where the heroine runs an acupuncture wellness studio. She goes poking (see what I did there) her nose in police case, all to clear her brother’s name in a murder investigation. I’m writing this piece for fun, as that is what my Coco Cline project started out as (which is still in the process of finding a publishing house that sees its potential), in the hopes I can flesh it out further to create a full-blown series. I’m already 10,000 words in and really enjoying the small, California town of Cedar Bluffs, retreat to the stars.
Stay tuned for more information on Burdened Bloodline, such as the cover reveal and release date coming this week!
Arms around,
